Large Antique Sterling Silver & Tortoiseshell Vanity Jar 1923

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a large antique cut glass vanity jar with a sterling silver and tortoiseshell lid inlaid with pretty silver pique around a central cartouche.

It measures 5 1/2" (14 cms) across x 3 1/4" (8 cms) high. It's hallmarked for Birmingham 1923 with the silversmiths mark for Deakin & Francis.

The tortoiseshell lid has super colour with lovely silver pique inlay and the inside of the lid is mirrored.

The glass has a star cut base and pretty cut sides and the whole item is lovely and in great condition with no damage or repairs.

This jar will come with a certificate of authenticity.
