Stunning English Victorian Sterling Silver Visiting Card Case / Aide Memoir

Description

A highly decorative example of an antique card case, a wonderful addition to any collection or ready to pop your business or credit cards into.

The case has all-over engraved decoration with a vacant cartouche to the front which could be engraved by you silversmith should you wish.

The catch works well and when opened reveals a delightful interior lined in a dark green taffeta with the original bone aide memoir and pencil.

There is a hallmark amongst the riot of decoration for Birmingham 1897 and the makers mark for the highly regarded Cornelius Saunders & Frank Shepherd.

Excellent condition, measuring 3 3/4" x 2 7/8" while closed.
