Pair of Antique Victorian Sterling Silver 'Oriental Heads' Salts 1840

Description

This is a superb pair of antique Victorian sterling silver salts with blue glass liners in super condition.

They measure 3" (7.5 cms) across x 2 1/4" (6 cms) tall and are hallmarked for London 1840 with the silversmiths mark for George Frederick Pinnell.

They have a beautiful pierced decoration and the decorative pierced feet are mounted on Oriental style heads.

The silver alone weighs 237 grams which gives you an idea of the quality.
