Silver Handled Cake Slice and Carving Fork

1940 - 1960
Description

This is a hallmarked sterling silver handled carving fork and a similar hallmarked sterling silver handled cake slice. The carving fork was assayed in Sheffield in 1966 and made by Viner's Ltd (Emile Viner). The cake slice was assayed in Sheffield in 1964 and made by Harrison Brothers.

Both handles are queen's pattern. The cake slice has a stainless steel blade, serrated to one side and marked ' Made In Sheffield England, Stainless Steel'.

Both pieces have some mild wear and some marks to the surface but are generally in good condition.

The cake slice is 25.2cm long and the carving fork is 22.6cm long.
