The pendant is an example of Victorian mourning jewellery. The pendant is shaped as a woman's body set with a topaz as the heart, topaz was associated with nobility, love, passion, and purpose.The golden tear drop at the bottom of the pendant represents a tear.The pendant is set with an incredible coloured round cut topaz that changes colour from greeny blue to light blue (see pics). The topaz is approx (0.75ct). The pendant is in very good condition for its age and measures 4.1cm x 1.8cm from top of loop down. The pendant weighs 1.86 grams. Overall this is a piece to memorialise the loss of woman you trull loved.
