Description

Birmingham 1932 solid silver English hallmarked and enamel Art Deco period hair brush made by the well regarded firm Adie Brothers.

Beautifully shaped and enamelled in gold guilloche over a detailed engraving of stripes, swags and wave design, this is both practical and decorative. The engraved design almost appears to be beams of light. It is beautifully done.

Size-9.5 inches long by 3 inches wide.

With some minor flakes to edge enamel, this lovely and stylish period piece is in very good condition overall, and an iconic example of 30's style. Great to use or display.

Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
