Mitaine has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
As there is little use for tiaras they are now being repurposed as necklaces and earrings so as to ensure the beautiful pieces have a place in today’s fashions. The original fixtures are still in place too. These are a magnificent pair of earrings and I’ve spotted harris’s selling similar reproductions with smaller diamonds and not such good quality diamonds for more than these originals! 3cts, VS2/SI1/2, G-H-I colour.
