A large silver mounted claret jug by silversmiths E Goldschmidt. Stamped with a crescent and crown and ( Halbmond und Reichskrone ) silver finest 800/1000 with a mark of 800 and three stars , having a finely engraved and etched glass body of flowers and scrolling mounted on a cast silver base , detailed in oyster shell style pattern . The handle flows from the top to the base also cast in silver with a branch and leaf effect , connecting to a long slender lidded neck which is 15cm . From inside the lid it is nicely gold gilded.
In excellent condition.
