Georgian Silver Sauce Ladle Hallmarked London 1827 by Thomas Wilkes Barker

A 19th century, heavy gauge solid silver sauce ladle. The ladle is a plain polished silver the only engraving being at the top of the handle where an hereldic lion and initials are engraved (see images). On the back of the ladle are the clear hallmarks for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1827 along with the Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver and the makers mark: Thomas Wilkes Barker.

 

Condition: In very good condition (the bowl has some very slight pin prick sized dents and some scratches commensurate with the age of this item and mentioned for accuracy).
