Asprey Antique George V Sterling Silver Toast Racks

1900 - 1920
Description

A pair of antique George V sterling silver toast racks which are rectangular shape in design with plain arched divisions to house the toast, a central handle for carrying purposes and each resting on four claw feet. They have been made to a high standard, as one would expect from Asprey, and they each fit neatly on a silver tray which is practical for catching any residue crumbs. They would look elegant displayed at either end of the breakfast table. One toast rack is dated for 1910 and the other is dated for 1911 but both made by Asprey & Co. Ltd.

They were hallmarked in London for 1910/1911 by Asprey & Co. Ltd. and they weigh 11.8 troy ounces (367 grams).

Complimentary worldwide postage with insurance is included within the price of these toast racks.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
