This is a late Victorian hallmarked sterling silver napkin ring. It was assayed in Sheffield in 1899 and made by Mappin Brothers, Queens Works, Sheffield; & retailers at Regent Street, London W and Cheapside, London EC.
It is of oval form with undulating edges. It is engraved to one side with a monogram surrounded by engraved shells and scrolling acanthus leaves.
It is in good general condition with wear commensurate with age.
It weighs 26g / 0.86 oz t.
