ANTIQUE #SA754716

Antique Arts And Craft Silver Quaiche

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a striking example of a solid sterling silver quaiche or quaich (whisky taster).

It is clearly hallmarked on the base for Birmingham 1922 with the maker''s mark of AE Jones. It is a planished, or hand-hammered, finish with a series of indented circles around the rim. The bowl is shallow, the handles wide. The silver is in excellent condition, with slight surface abrasions that would be expected of an item almost 100 years old. The base wobbles.
