Edwardian Silver Toast Rack London 1901

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine, Edwardian, solid silver toast rack. Lovely classic design, the rack has 6 good sized compartments. It has a nice handle on top, and sits on a rectangular frame with four ball feet beneath. A nice size and weight. Very clearly defined hallmarks can be seen on the base frame for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1901 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the maker's marks for the quality silversmiths: William Hutton & Sons

 

Condition: In very good condition (there has been a repair on one corner where one of the loops attaches to the frame, this does not detract from the item and we mention it for accuracy only).

 

Measurements: Height to top of handle: 10 cm

 

Width: 10.7 cm Depth: 6.8 cm

 

Weight: 109.5 grams
