Lovely Italian Solid Silver Beautifully Engraved Card or Cigarette Case.

Description

Wonderful and unusual Italian solid silver card case or cigarette case with comprehensive chased foliate and scroll decoration on both sides and to hinged interior bar.

Both sides have a slightly different decoration, and the case opens with a push button sprung hinge to reveal a polished interior with a hinged bar across one side. It is marked .800 fine, and was made in the province of Firenze between 1934-1940, according to the makers mark. It is very heavy and most generous in size.

Size-4.5 inches long by 3 inches wide.

Weight-115 grams.

This lovely case would be perfect for business cards, money and credit cards, and would make a lovely gift.

An unusual piece in very good condition.
