Each piece has a plain octagonal shaped body and the five pieces sit comfortably on a stylish octagonal tray of the same date and maker. The coffee pot, hot water pot and teapot each has a hinged silver lid with an octagonal finial on the top and they also benefit from a black angular shaped handle. The cream jug and sugar basin are also octagonal in shape and they have stylish silver handles. The octagonal silver tray has two side handles and the size and design is perfect to hold the five piece tea set.
