A George V Sterling silver five piece tea set on tray which has been designed in the Art Deco style and consists of a coffee pot, hot water pot, teapot, cream jug and sugar basin. Each piece has a plain octagonal shaped body and the five pieces sit comfortably on a stylish octagonal tray of the same date and maker. The coffee pot, hot water pot and teapot each has a hinged silver lid with an octagonal finial on the top and they also benefit from a black angular shaped handle. The cream jug and sugar basin are also octagonal in shape and they have stylish silver handles. The octagonal silver tray has two side handles and the size and design is perfect to hold the five piece tea set. The coffee pot and hot water pot each stand 20.00 cms in height, the teapot is 15.00 cms high, the cream jug is 10.60 cms high, the sugar basin is 8.20 cms high and the tray measures 58.00 cms long x 37.00 cms wide. It is rare to find a complete five piece tea set together with the original silver tray. It would look eye catching when displayed and would be perfect to use. It has a combined weight of 169.00 troy ounces (5256 grams) and remains in excellent condition.
