Antique Sterling Silver Trinket Box with Tavern & Fishing Scenes 1909

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a super antique Edwardian sterling silver trinket box measuring 4 1/2" (11.5 cms) x 3 1/4" (8 cms) x 1 1/2" (4 cms) high.

It's made by B. Neresheimer & Sohne who worked in Hanau, Germany and was imported by Berthold Mueller.

It's also has the 925 silver purity mark and the I mark of Chester 1909 so it was imported and assayed there at that time.

It has some unusual scenes depicted all round, the top shows a tavern scene with people drinking and dancing and around the sides it shows fishing scenes.

It weighs 195.3 grams and is in excellent original condition.
