Description

A very fine example of a solid sterling silver castle-top Aide Memoire, dating from the short reign of William IV.

Both sides feature Abbotsford House and are clearly hallmarked at the base of the picture for Birmingham 1835 and carry the maker's mark for Taylor & Perry. The silver is in excellent condition.

The House is embossed within a chased foliate and thistle ground. The inner lining is a dark red silk with holders for a pencil. The interior has a weekly calendar on ivory pages (excluding Sunday).

A lovely item in very good antique condition.
