This delightful small Edwardian silver pot pourri box was made by the celebrated William Comyns and is dated London 1906. Pot pourri boxes are very sought-after and this cast silver lidded example is beautiful. Of rectangular form, the pull off silver lid cast and pierced with sinuous floral designs representing stylised Irises, very much an Art Nouveau pattern.
The sides embossed with foliate scrolls.

Date letter "l" for 1906.
London Assay mark.
