Description

This elegant Georgian sterling silver pounce pot is hallmarked London 1795 with maker's mark of BC&N. Of classical campana form, the plain baluster body raised upon a circular reeded base. The rim with gadroon border and the pull-off lid with pierced scroll motifs and ball finial. It has a very good silver gauge

London Assay mark.

Date letter "u" for 1795.

Duty Mark.

Lion passant.
