Edwardian Silver 'Heart' Decoration Vesta Case

1900 - 1920
Description

A solid silver Edwardian vesta case with a vacant heart-shaped cartouche which is complementing an ornate swirling pattern to the front and back. When opened the hallmarks 1912 Birmingham and makers marks J. Gloster Ltd are revealed with the fine gilded interior.

  

Unusually the hinge is on the right and there a good fastening attachment loop just underneath.

  

A lovely vesta, beautifully engraved and in great condition with only a slight indentation on left hand edge

Measurements: Height: 4.7 cm Width: 5 cm not including loop
