Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The lid is hinged and has a tab attached for ease of opening, with nicely shaped and efficiently designed pourer. The attractive silver handle adds to the pleasing aesthetics of the Jug. On one side of the lid are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1925 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. Here the silver maker's mark is also visible for the renowned silversmiths: Walker & Hall.

Presented in super condition, there is a tiny dent on the very top of the handle which we mention only for accuracy, no chips to the cut glass.
Would gleam when filled with Claret!
A fabulous edition to any dining table setting, wonderful gift or could be used as a presentation trophy!
