Antique Solid Silver Twin Handled Sugar Bowl

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of an antique solid silver twin handled sugar bowl. It is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 140g. It has a family crest of a lion on one side It is clearly hallmarked for Mappin & Webb, Sheffield, 1905.

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use and some small dinks but nothing detrimental. There are some old corrosion marks on the underside (see photo) but they haven't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully.
