B. CHATTERLEY & SONS LTD together with EPNS for Electro-plated Nickel Silver and " Made in England " dating this to very late Victorian to Edwardian in era.
The frame has fine all-round engraved decoration as can be seen in one of the photographs. The lock is fully working and complete with the key, you need to unlock it, pull the front of the lock down which in turn allows you to pull back the top of the tantalus allowing the bottle to be removed.
The decanter is a large with all-over decorative hobnail cut decoration and the original cut spherical stopper (all in superb condition with a couple of fleabites to end of stopper - mentioned purely for accuracy and insignificant).
The front and back of the frame has a large plate which would be perfect for engraving if desired, the perfect special presentation gift.
A sound and beautiful example. The frame measures 7" x 7" x 13" tall and the decanter 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 9" tall.
