A fine pair of Old Sheffield Plated lidded tureens on warming dishes, dating to c1820. Both the warmers and tureens are marked with the Bell of Roberts Smith & Co. They are a beautiful pair of large substantial warmers with blank inlaid silver cartouches.
The warmers are topped with matching tureens with removable screw handles.
There is ornate floral inspired edging to the tureen and the feet of warmers and shell detailing to the handles of warmers. One of the tureens has a removable central divider.
They are truly wonderful pieces that would grace any table.
In good condition - slight surface wear and slight copper bleed due to age and use. Slight raising to a couple of the corners of the lids.
Total weight approx 7.6kg
Warmer - length from handle to handle approx 36cm. Measures approx 37cm x 20.5cm.
Tureen measures approx 30.5cm x 23.5cm.
