19th Century Very Handsome Solid Silver Beaker.

Description

19th century, marked for before 1888, German hallmarked solid silver .750 fine cylindrical shaped beaker or cup.

The beaker is really lovely, all over engraved, with a Greek key design to top and bottom borders, and around the vacant cartouche. It has a turned over edge.

Size- 2 5/8 inches high by 2 3/8 inches diameter.

Weight-55 grams.

With just some bumps along the bottom, in very good condition overall.

A great gift for a Christening, baby, drinks enthusiast, or for the hunter.

A very elegant and unusual solid silver beaker.

Declaration

Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
