Solid German silver (800/1000 Fine) pierced and repousse basket. Created in Germany ca-1890, this fine basket features superb repousse, piercing and chasing work. It measures approx. 12 in length by 10'' in width and 2'' in height. It is crafted of a thick gauge of silver, weighing in at 462 grams. This gorgeous basket is in great condition with no monograms or removals and all patina is intact. It features finely detailed carvings of raised chased baskets of flowers connected rocaille detailing s and s scrolls amongst a trellis work background with central hand worked repousse flowers to base of bowl. This is a beautiful piece of high quality German silver and highly collectible.
