Antique German Silver Pierced Repousse Work Basket

Description

Solid German silver (800/1000 Fine) pierced and repousse basket. Created in Germany ca-1890, this fine basket features superb repousse, piercing and chasing work. It measures approx. 12 1/2 in length by 10" in width and 2" in height. It is crafted of a thick gauge of silver, weighing in at 408 grams. This gorgeous basket is in great condition with no monos or removals and all patina is intact. It features finely detailed carvings of baskets of flowers connected by swags and festoons with central hand worked repousse flowers to base of bowl. This is a beautiful piece of high quality German silver and highly collectible.
