A wonderful antique ruby ring set with five beautiful rubies in 18ct yellow gold which are natural and have had minimal heat treatment. A very beautiful ring which is rare and the rubies have had minimal heat treatment as internal feathers are visible under the microscope. Rubies are part of the corundum family - the same as sapphires, however only very few of them are rubies, those that are red, all others are called sapphires. They are much more valuable due to their scarcity. 5.8gms.
