Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has a lovely handle, again in a true gothic style, all culminating in what is a most aesthetically pleasing item. It is a good heavy gauge silver and feels a nice weight when picked up by the handle. Very clearly defined hallmarks can be seen on the top of the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark of 1905 along with the maker's marks for the silversmith John Edward Wilmot.

A Lovely Toast Rack in Antique Collector's condition.
