A Pair of Persian Silver Qajar Photo Frames Isfahan 1910

Description

Rare pair of antique solid silver picture frames or indeed frames for Persian miniatures made in Isfahan in 1910.

Oblong in shape with a central open oval for the photo or miniature painting.

Cast silver beaded border with engraved court scenes with flowers, foliage and exotic birds.

Solid silver easel back A frame terminating in three prongs for stability.

Indistinctly marked on one - fully tested for high grade silver and guaranteed.

Excellent original condition with no repairs or solder. A very rare and highly decorative heavy gage silver pair.

Size - 14.3 x 10.5cms. Oval - 8.0 x 5.3 cms. Weight - 226 gms. Cat # 384/5/uts
