There is a later monogram to the front and fine hallmarks including the rare and sought after incuse duty mark, struck only in 1784/5.

Silver from this period and assayed in Newcastle is extremely difficult to find, as mostly flatware prevails. A wonderful collector's piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Good, overall condition. The handle has a knock at either side and the seam is opening slightly. The foot has a very slight flattening to the rim and the body, all commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Superbly clear and readable. Repeat Maker's mark to handle.
Maker :- John Langlands I and John Robertson I.
Date :- Newcastle 1785.
Height :- 13.5 cms.
Top diameter :- 8 cms.
Base diameter :- 9.5 cms.
