An absolutely charming example of a small general-purpose Regency upholstered seat, ideal for use as a dressing table stool. The mahogany legs — gently tapering and swept out — are united by a turned cross stretcher. The square top is upholstered in an old tapestry-type covering, possibly original, that is in perfectly useable every-day condition. This lovely early 19th century stool is of the most elegant design we've seen in years. It is English, c.1820.
