Description

This is a fabulous antique Indian amber desk seal with silver mounts. The large section of butterscotch amber has the most wonderful swirling shades of honey and sunny yellow through it. The silver mounts have repousse decoration with mythical beasts and scrolling foliage. To the base is a matrix engraved with stylised panel.

In excellent condition, this is a very decorative and tactile piece, standing 17 cms high and 5 cms deep and wide.
