Pair of Edwardian Solid Silver Vases - Comyns

1900 - 1920
Description

Great pair of solid sterling silver vases dating from the Edwardian era.

The hallmarks on the side are for London 1905, with the maker's mark for William Comyns. The marks are a little rubbed but are discernible. They are in a Campara urn form with crimped rims. The silver is in excellent condition. The bases are weighted: there is some pitch (filling) missing in one which leaves a slightly uneven base and a lighter vase, although still perfectly stable.

Diameter of base: 6cm.
