and the pillar is also beautifully decorated in a leaf design. The original Snuffer is attached with a chain, which can be hooked onto the body of the pillar. The handle is exquisite with a neat leaf thumb-piece to the top. Full hallmarks are clearly visible on the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1832 along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver
