An Early 20th Century Carved Giltwood Standard Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

An early 20th century carved giltwood standard lamp, the baroque torchère style stand on a spreading foot on concealed compressed feet with extensive carving and gilded highlights on a brown palette, with an off white painted candle style top with the bulb holder. Recently rewired using three core braided flex, a new plug with a 3amp fuse and new bulb holder, and with a PAT certificate. Italian circa 1920.

Condition: Overall very good, with some very minor losses to the gilding. The flex is over 3.5 metres.
