A Lovely Victorian Silver Mounted Scent Bottle

A lovely silver mounted cologne bottle from the end of the Victorian era. This unusual example has a rounded shallow body in cased blue over white glass, swirled in a wrythen pattern. To the lower half the body is petal cut. The pull-off Rococo lid is hallmarked inside and opens to reveal the original peg stopper. A delightful and practical collector's piece and a great gift idea. Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the glass or splits, holes or dents to the silver. The lid has a few blemishes and a small score mark, all commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- London 1899.

Height (to top of lid) :- 6.5 cms.

Diameter:- 7 cms. (widest point).
