A Rare Lawrence Twentyman Cape Silver Dessert Spoon

An extremely rare item of Cape silver. This is a fine quality silver dessert spoon in fiddle pattern. The Cape silversmith Lawrence Twentyman has used 'pseudo' English Hallmarks, featuring a head, bird, castle and date letter e. At the bottom of this row is his Maker's mark, dating the spoon c1825. A rare and desirable collector's piece. Dimensions below.
