Bronze Figure of a Scholar

Description

A 19th century bronze figure of a scholar seated on a bench . The bench has lovely detail of an eagles head and claw feet . The bearded scholar possibly Roman / Greek is wearing a leaf headband and sandals with his foot resting on a book , and his arm resting on a column which has a decorative finial. He is reading a scroll and possibly in his other hand it would of had a quill.

A good colour and quality bronze sculpture.
