George Smith George III Silver Dessert Spoon

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: TJR Trading

This is a George III hallmarked sterling silver dessert spoon. It was assayed in London in 1804 and made by George Smith (IV). It has an Old English Pattern handle, which is engraved with a monogram.

The end of the bowl seems a little out of shape. It may have been filed or worn down at some point in the past. Otherwise the wear is consistent with its age.

The spoon weighs 29g / 0.94 ozt.
