1930's Silver Teapot By Adie Brothers

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: TJR Trading

This is a George V hallmarked sterling silver teapot. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1934, and made by Adie Brothers.

It has a fruitwood handle and finial. The rim is gadrooned, and it is raised on a circular footed base. It is hallmarked to the outside of the body, and also to the inside of the lid. The hallmarks on the body are partially rubbed.

There are a number of dents to the body, most of which are relatively small. The largest dent is just below the handle and measures 8mm in diameter. There is also a slight dent to the edge of the foot. Otherwise it is in fairly good order.

The gross weight of the teapot is 412g / 13.26 oz t.
