A stunning pair of George III cast silver two light candelabra by John Scofield, fully hallmarked for London 1783.

Each candelabra with elegant slender baluster and fluted stems terminating in spread circular base edged with acanthus leaves and bead borders throughout. The removable separate branches with reeded scroll arms and urns shaped capitals with removable sconces, centred with an unmarked finial in the form of a stylised hot-air balloon.

In beautiful condition throughout, the bases fully marked. The original branches and sconces marked with the lion passant and matching makers mark.
