Large Pair of 78cm Silver Plated Pricket Candle Sticks

1900 - 1920
Description

Impressive and good quality pair of large silver plated pricket candle sticks.

Very well detailed throughout and we have fitted replacement "prickets" but otherwise very much original and in great condition.

Unusual to have this pair in a silver plate and of these proportions.

If you were to use these as candle sticks, they work by heating the base of a large church candle and with pressure, fitting it onto the pricket.

Great decorative pair and would sit very well on a console or sideboard, or perhaps flanking an open fireplace for example.

Measuring:

30 3/4” or 78cm high

8 1/2” or 22cm across the base

1 1/2” or 3cm pricket spike

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
