The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
These were often manufactured in novelty shapes, and this is in the form of a 3-handled loving cup. It is hallmarked on the base for Birmingham 1905, with the maker's mark of Joseph Gloster. It has an ogee pedestal urn form, with ball knopped stem and three scroll and tongue handles. It is in excellent condition.
