ANTIQUE #SA686035

Antique Solid Silver Edwardian Card Box

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

A lovely example of a solid sterling silver playing card box.

It is hallmarked for Chester 1901, with the maker''s mark for Nathan & Hayes (George Nathan & Ridley Hayes). It is in fine condition: there is one small ding to the side of the body and a slight creasing to the inside rim, just above the hallmarks. The gilding inside is excellent. The domed lid fits tightly and the hinge is good. The plain body has no inscriptions.
