Elegant Antique Georgian Solid Silver Sugar Caster

Description

This is a very elegant solid sterling silver caster, dating from the reign of George III.

Clearly hallmarked on the base, and with partial hallmarks on the lid, for London 1783, with the maker's mark possibly that of Thomas Shepherd. The body of the caster is in a simple baluster form with pull off cover and flame finial.

Height: 15.5cm

Diameter of Base: 5.5cm

Weight: 78g
