Set of 9 Silver Fish Knives & Forks by Mappin & Webb 1930

A splendid set of silver fish knives and forks: 9 forks and 9 knives. As well as being very attractive in design this set is rather special because each of the individual pieces are formed as one whole piece of silver, they are not joined in the centre (as is most commonly seen) and the knife blades are silver not stainless steel.

Each item of cutlery is fully hallmarked for the Sheffield Assay Office and have a date mark for either 1930/ 1931 or 1932, and all show the silversmith's mark for the renowned makers: Mappin & Webb.

Measurments:

Each fork: 18.5 cm length

Each knife: 20.5 cm long.
