A Regency Old Sheffield Plate Tray

19th century
Description

A fine Regency Old Sheffield Plate tray of good size and colour, overall rectangular shape with a gadroon border, twin handles decorated with leaves and berries, and having shells at the corners and on each side. Silver plated onto copper by fusion; tinned to the underside. English circa 1810.

Condition: Excellent, with a very little bleeding around the inner edge, no heavy scratches or abrasions, very minor wear commensurate with age.
