What could only be described as a truly superb solid silver Toast Rack. The design is superb and iconic Art Deco - from the wonderfully geometric compartments (4 in all) to the stylish angular shaped handles. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the frame at the base for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1945 and clear silvermaker's marks for the renowned silversmiths: Mappin & Webb along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.



An extremely outstanding Art Deco piece, wonderful for a Collector! A good solid heavy gauge silver!



Condition: In great antique collector's condition! Stands nice and sturdy on its feet!
