Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
Rectangular in shape, with curved corners, the case is very tactile and feels nice to hold in the hand. The hinged lid opens and closes well and underneath the lid the clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1919 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also clear for G Loveridge & Co. Partial marks are also visible on the lid.

A lovely card case in great antique condition. There is some surface scratching to the plain polished silver which we mention for accuracy and is commensurate with the age of the item.
